The Steve Prefontaine Foundation invites you to contribute to the permanent, endowed scholarship established within the Marshfield Community & Memorial Scholarship Fund in Pre’s memory. The Foundation will continue to add to the corpus along with donations from participants in the Prefontaine Memorial Run and from the general public who treasure Pre’s memory. As the corpus continues to grow, larger scholarship awards will be presented to deserving Marshfield student-athletes in perpetuity. In 2024, the recipient received a scholarship award in the amount of $2,200.

Pre was a passionate supporter of his fellow athletes. The Foundation believes that our activities and contributions honor Steve Prefontaine’s memory and his spirit.
